70% of drilling rig orders are concerning

Petrobras CEO Graça Foster is concerned about the Brazilian shipyards. The main reason is that 70% of Petrobras´ drilling rig orders for pre-salt exploration in Brazil are to be built in shipyards that are either under construction or have serious management issues.   The shipyards currently operating are swamped with orders.  The shipyards themselves are concerned about delivering the first drilling rigs on time (which are due in 2015).  Petrobras ordered the construction of 33 drilling rigs in Brazil and is in the final stages of acquiring another two drilling rigs.
