70% of drilling rig orders are concerning 18 April, 2012Petrobras CEO
Graça Foster is concerned about the Brazilian shipyards. The main reason is
that 70% of Petrobras´ drilling rig orders for pre-salt exploration in Brazil
are to be built in shipyards that are either under construction or have serious
management issues. The shipyards currently operating are swamped
with orders. The shipyards themselves are concerned about delivering the
first drilling rigs on time (which are due in 2015). Petrobras ordered
the construction of 33 drilling rigs in Brazil and is in the final stages of
acquiring another two drilling rigs. The construction costs are estimated at

Minister Schuls van Haegen will lead economic Dutch trade mission to Brazil next week 5 April, 2012
The Dutch Ministry of
Infrastructure and the Environment will organise an economic trade mission from
April 9 to 13 to Brazil. Minister Melanie Schultz van Haegen will be leading
the Dutch delegation that will visit the cities São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Holland Marine House Brazil is involved in organising the maritime part of the economic
trade mission. The purpose of the visit to Brazil is to strengthen the
cooperative relationships with the Brazilian government and to stimulate the
actions of the Dutch business community in relation to the Brazilian market.

New members for Holland Marine House Brazil 4 April, 2012
Since January 2012 HMHB has
welcomed three new members; Stigter Staal, Nek Logistics and Imtech Marine
& Offshore. With these new members HMHB represents a total of 14 Dutch
maritime companies.
