Over 65 years of quality and innovation is the driving force behind the successful design and production of nautical instrumentation and control systems for any ocean-going vessel, such as ferries, dredgers, cruise ships, including yachts and motor cruisers.

Besides the civil application of Kwant Controls equipment, a lot of NATO countries have equipped their vessels with Kwant Controls instruments. Custom-made control units are a speciality of Kwant Controls for sea vessels of all types. As response to the great demand for smaller control units on yachts, a small type control unit type BUK-G was launched. This small sized, console mounted lever unit is designed for propulsion controls. Type approved by all leading classification bureaus, the BUK-G comes in single or double lever execution with either a knob or cross bars. From the same perspective a smaller rotating and speed control unit, the RSCU Mark-IV was developed. The BUK-G and the RSCU Mark-IV pay special attention to visual design and harmony. The units can be supplied in a variety of colors to meet specifications and match specific onboard station areas.

All the KWANT control units can also be customdesigned for special applications and also matching control panels can be designed and produced with an excellent man-machine interface for optimum control. All the instruments and systems meet ISO 9001:2000 quality standards and the vast majority has been type-approved by the world’s leading classification societies.
